Aug 01, 2010: Bakke Insurance and Border Insurance change names
Bakke Insurance and Border Insurance Network are now doing business under the Thune Insurance Network name. Border Insurance Network had been
operating as the Roseau division of Thune Insurance for a number of years and Bakke Insurance was brought under the Thune Insurance umbrella when
purchased in 2008. The decision was made to allow all three companies to serve our customers better as one full service organization, Thune Insurance Network, Inc.
Jan 01, 2009: Thune Benefits, Inc. earns MVP Status
Thune Benefits, Inc. , the Benefits arm of Thune Insurance Network, has earned a heightened level of client contact with Assurant Employee Benefits called “Platinum Service”.
MVP has been in existence for nearly six years and there are less than 250 participating agencies nationwide. Thune Benefits, Inc. begins 2009

Jun 15, 2008: Bakke Insurance earns Blue Partner Status
Bakke Insurance has been named a 2008 "Blue Partner" by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota for sales and service excellence.
Bakke Insurance achieved this recognition by demonstrating exceptional client satisfaction measured in terms of customer longevity and
ongoing satisfaction. Bakke agency was chosen for being Best-in-class on plan selection, Best-in-class service, and Best-in-class
satisfaction. Fewer than one in ten Blue Cross agencies providing and servicing health plans across Minnesota are given this recognition
and Bakke Insurance is the only agency within the 12 counties of NW Minnesota to receive the distinction.
Jan 31, 2008: Rob Blankenfeld joins our Staff
Rob Blankenfeld is the new General Manage of Bakke Insurance. He is a native of Thief River Falls and a former representative of BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota
and brings years of industry experience back to Thief River Falls. Rob will oversee the day-to-day operations in our office as well
as managing many of our group plans.
Jan 1, 2008: Ownership Change
As of January 1, 2008 Bakke Insurance is under new ownership. While ownership may have changed, the great customer service
has not. Our office remains at 1511 in Northland Plaza and our entire staff remains as well. You can still reach us via the same
